2nd Annual Bad & BeaujolaiS

A one-night-only celebration of Beaujolais Nouveau Day and the beginning of the holiday season.

Every 3rd Thursday of November—under French law—a very special wine is released for sale at 12:01 a.m., just weeks after the wine's grapes have been harvested. Beaujolais Nouveau Day—a celebration of the first wine of the season—began as an annual festival in the villages of southern Burgundy. But something so delicious can only avoid recognition for so long, and Beaujolais Nouveau Day soon became an event celebrated throughout France, then Europe, and eventually across the globe. A rightful justification for revelry in the dull lull before the holidays. Join us in honoring the 2018 vintage of Beaujolais Nouveau as we open some very special wine and feast on opulent French seafood specialties.

DRINK: Copious amounts of Beaujolais Nouveau and other wines from the region.

FOOD: “Fat & French” seafood specialties presented with extravagance. A sampling of last year's menu...
